How to Access Your WordPress Dashboard

Even if you don’t have the direct link anymore finding your WordPress login page is surprisingly simple.

After installing a WordPress website, we provide each of our clients with a Username and Password—along with customized tutorials and other important info.

If you’ve lost or misplaced this info and need a refresher this guide is for you.

FINDING YOUR WORDPRESS LOGIN URL

Even if you don’t have the direct link anymore finding your WordPress login page is surprisingly simple.

All you need to do is add /wp-admin.php or /wp-login.php to the end of your website URL.

yourwebsite.com/wp-admin.php

yourwebsite.com/wp-login.php

The difference between these two URLs is minimal. /wp-login.php will send you to the login page and /wp-admin will send you directly to the WordPress dashboard which requires a login anyways.

RECOVERING YOUR WORDPRESS USERNAME OR PASSWORD

Even though we provide our clients with an email domain (E.g. yourname@example.com), we prefer to use your email address as your login username for security purposes.

We will also ask for your preferred password and username throughout the project to make recovery and logging into multiple services as easy as possible.

IF YOU CAN'T RECOVER YOUR LOGIN INFO ON YOUR OWN

Let us know! We maintain Admin accounts on all of our client sites so we can reset usernames and passwords as needed.
