What Is HeyOrca And How Does It Work?
After testing several popular social media tools, we’ve found HeyOrca to be the easiest for our clients to use. It offers several key features essential for delivering a great client experience, and it’s very budget-friendly.
Basically, HeyOrca is a tool we use to create and organize drafts of social media posts. Once we’ve created those drafts, we mark them as ‘Awaiting Approval.’
Once that happens, you can access the calendar to see a preview version of what each social media post will say, when it will be published. And, if you want to make any revisions to the post for accuracy you can reject the post by marking it as ‘Revise’.
This way, you will always know what content has been approved and it creates a system of checks and balances to avoid any embarassing mistakes.

Why We Like HeyOrca 🐳
- You don’t need to set up an account or remember any login info. We’ll email you a shareable link that will open up HeyOrca for you. From there, you can begin viewing your social media posts.
- You’ll be able to see your posts in the context of a Calendar view. This way, if there are any important holidays or promotional events we haven’t outlined in the calendar, you’ll be able to let us know ahead of time!
- All social media posts are colour-coded. Grey posts are still in the ‘Draft’ stage, so you don’t need to worry about them. (Unless you want to take a peak). Green posts are ones you’ve previously approved. And red ones are posts you’ve already asked us to revise.
- You can provide feedback on your own time. When reviewing posts, you have the ability to leave your feedback as a comment. This allows us to make sure content gets approved on time without having to schedule meetings. And you can access the calendar via the sharable link whenever you want.
Need A More Visual Explanation?
If you’re having trouble understanding how to review post content or leave feedback, we’d be happy to schedule a conference call to walk you through it. Or you can take a look at the Client Handbook created by HeyOrca.
