What Is Killer Content?
Killer Content is an independent, Canadian publication obsessed with how culture gets built.
We explore the people, businesses, ideas, and everyday moments that shape our communities—from independent artists and small businesses to local events, global brands, media, and niche subculture trends.
Our work combines original interviews, practical resources, and thoughtful cultural analysis with a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and editorial independence.
Whether you’re here to learn something new, explore a niche special interest, or simply killing time, our goal is to publish stories that are useful, honest and worth sharing.
What We Cover
Our editorial focus includes:
• Local Arts & Community — Independent artists, entrepreneurs, community organizations, events, and people building culture across Canada.
• Small Business & Marketing — Practical marketing advice, case studies, interviews, and free resources for small businesses and creators.
• Culture & Media — Film, television, internet culture, design, and trend analysis that looks beyond the headlines.
• Original Storytelling — Interviews, profiles, historical research and community-focused analysis that highlights unique perspectives and unusually useful ideas.
How We Make Money
Killer Content is supported through a combination of client services, affiliate partnerships, sponsorships, advertising, and reader support.
These revenue sources help fund even more killer content and free educational resources.
Our Editorial Standards
Every story we publish is guided by a few simple principles:
Editorial Independence
We do not sell editorial coverage, interviews, or positive reviews.
Advertising, sponsorships, affiliate relationships, or complimentary event access never guarantee favorable coverage or influence over editorial opinions.
Accuracy & Verification
We prioritize firsthand information whenever possible, including original interviews, direct observation, official records, archival material, user-generated content and primary sources.
If information cannot be independently verified, we may delay publication or revise the piece to better communicate those limitations.
Transparency
Sponsored content, affiliate links, gifted products, and commercial partnerships are always clearly disclosed so readers can easily distinguish editorial content from advertising.
Attribution
We clearly distinguish between direct interviews, verified facts, publicly available information, community perspectives, and editorial analysis.
Accountability
If we make a factual error, we’ll correct it.
Feedback, additional context, and corrections that improve the accuracy and completeness of our published content are always welcome.
Interviews & Community Coverage
We believe good stories begin with careful listening.
If we’re interviewing you or featuring your organization, we’ll explain the purpose of the story, where it will be published, and the general approach we’re taking before the interview begins.
To ensure accuracy, interview participants are always given the opportunity to review their quotes and factual information before publication.
However, final editorial decisions, including analysis, headlines, structure, and conclusions, remain independent.
Whether we’re writing about an individual, a community, or a broader cultural issue, we aim to provide appropriate context, represent people fairly, and avoid sensational or extractive storytelling whenever possible.
Our Commitment
Killer Content exists to make thoughtful storytelling, practical marketing knowledge, and cultural analysis more accessible to everyone.
